66th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION,KWAHU EAST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY 2023

The Kwahu East District Assembly held its 66th Independence day celebration at Abetifi the district capital with the theme, “Our Unity, Our Strength, Our Purpose”.There was a cultural Group to entertain the people. The ceremony brought together all people from all walks of the district to witness the colorful ceremony.

The program was well attended by the DCE, Coordinating Director, Police Service Commanders, service personnel, pupils and teachers, chiefs, and the general public.

The DCE, Hon Isaac Agyapong, reading the President’s Anniversary speech, reiterated the government’s commitment to restore the country to its glory. Hesaidgovernmentisputtinginmuchmoreefforttofindsolutiontothecurrenteconomicsituationthecountryisfacing.

He appealed to all Ghanaians to support the government’s effort in achieving a common goal.

The DCE said improving inclusive and equitable participation and access to education at all levels has been one of the government’s primary policy objectives. He said since implementing the Free SHS policy, the number of students enrolled in high schools has increased and improved significantly.Hon.Agyapong, therefore, advised the student to avoid engaging themselves in activities that will hinder their academic performance.

The DCE urged them to indemnify the sacrifices the government and their parents make for their education by remaining dedicated to their studies, maintaining discipline, respecting th eir teachers, and avoiding all vices. When they religiously pursue these values, they can achieve their dreams and make their parents and society proud.

The District Director of Education, Mr. Robert Andah Mony appealed to parents and guardians to support their children’s education since the future of our country depends on them. A certificate was given to participating schools.
