On July 24, 2024, the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development conducted a comprehensive monitoring exercise to evaluate the utilization of tools and equipment provided to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). This initiative aimed to ensure that the beneficiaries were effectively using the resources to improve their livelihoods and enhance their socio-economic status.

The monitoring team visited several communities, including Pepease, Kwahu Tafo, Nteso, and Akwasiho. In Kwahu Tafo, they noted the successful implementation of vocational equipment, which had enabled many individuals to start small businesses in tailoring, carpentry, and other trades. The visits to Nteso and Akwasiho revealed similar positive outcomes, with PWDs utilizing the provided resources to develop sustainable livelihoods.
